My husband wants to file for bankruptcy. we live in a house that is only under my name. can they go after my house even though it's only under my name.

Answer:

 

Your assets do not vest with your husband's trustee. However, if the title was transferred to your name only or if your husband has an equitable interest, i.e. he has made all or some of the mortgage payments, his creditors may be entitled to a portion of the equity.
